PADI Search and Rescue Specialty Course in Grand Cayman

No matter how careful you or anyone else is, accidents will happen. Someone may drop a possession into the water from a dock or off a boat. You or another diver may even let something slip while scuba diving. If you’ve ever lost something in the water and wanted to go and find it, then our PADI Search and Rescue Specialty course in Grand Cayman is for you!

Guided by one of our experienced instructors, you will learn the numerous techniques used to search for objects underwater. These new skills will increase your chances of successfully retrieving items large and small.

Gathering information and resources, and then carefully planning a search, are the first important steps you learn. During four scuba dives, you will practice:

• Swimming search patterns using your compass and natural navigation.
• Locating large and small objects using various search patterns.
• Using a lift bag for large or heavy objects, plus other recovery methods.
• Planning a search operation based on facts gathered about a lost object prior to the dive.

PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Divers age 12 or above can enrol in our Grand Cayman PADI Search and Rescue Specialty course. PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers with a PADI Underwater Navigator certification also qualify.
