Seven Mile Beach, in particular, is a hub for watersports in Grand Cayman. Its soft sands and calm turquoise waters are perfect for learning a new activity or simply relaxing between diving adventures or boat excursions.
Coupled with world-class infrastructure, safety standards, and professional instruction, it’s no wonder Grand Cayman has become one of the Caribbean’s top watersports destinations.

Whether you’re in search of high-speed excitement or a tranquil paddle at sunset, there’s something for everyone in Grand Cayman. At Red Sail Sports, we offer a wide range of activities tailored to all ages and skill levels:

Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) in Grand Cayman is one of the most relaxing ways to explore our island’s waters and coastline. Whether you paddle solo or with a group, the experience offers a peaceful connection with the sea, often accompanied by sightings of turtles, rays, or tropical fish.
SUP is especially popular along Seven Mile Beach, where the calm water makes it easy to balance and paddle, even for beginners. Early mornings are particularly serene, with mirror-like waters and the gentle sound of waves lapping beneath you. But SUP experiences are a joy at any time of the day! And if you’re looking to stay active during your Cayman escape, paddleboarding offers a great all-body workout too.
At Red Sail Sports, we offer top-quality stand-up paddleboard rentals in Grand Cayman, along with instruction and advice if needed. You can find our paddleboard rentals at all Red Sail Sports locations, and our boards come in various sizes to suit all ages and heights.
If you’re exploring the rest of Grand Cayman during your trip, you can also find SUP rental options from other members of the Red Sail family. This includes stand-up paddleboard rental in Grand Cayman’s East End with Tortuga Divers and Rum Point paddleboard rental from Rum Point Club.
Paddle out for a gentle workout or drift along the shoreline and soak up the scenery. You don’t need any previous experience — just bring your swimwear and a sense of adventure!
For those who prefer to sit and paddle, kayaking in Grand Cayman offers a similarly peaceful yet engaging experience. Our lightweight kayaks are easy to manoeuvre, making them ideal for guests of all ages. Explore the clear shallows, cruise past coral formations, or enjoy a quiet paddle along the beach, and all from your position just above the waterline. Sunset paddles can be especially magical as the sky changes colour and the day winds down.
Kayaking is especially suited for couples or families who want to enjoy the ocean at a slower pace. It’s also a great way to experience marine life up close without needing to snorkel or dive. Just some of the marine life you might spot from your kayak include stingrays, needlefish, and schools of sergeant majors and Bermuda chubbs.
Our kayaks are available directly from Seven Mile Beach, and our beach team is always on hand to offer tips, fit your life jacket, and help you launch. You can choose from our range of single and double kayaks, and rental periods last for one hour.
As with our SUP rentals, you can also find kayak rental options from other members of the Red Sail family, including kayak rental in Grand Cayman’s East End with Tortuga Divers and Rum Point kayak rental from Rum Point Club.
We make kayak rentals quick and easy, so you can hit the water and start exploring in no time!
If you’re looking for a classic Caribbean experience, a sailboat rental in Grand Cayman is a must. Nothing beats the feeling of gliding across the sea with the wind in your sails. And while our Grand Cayman boat excursions tick this box for many people, others want to take the next step toward an independent sailing adventure. That’s where our sailboat rentals in Grand Cayman come in!
We rent 14-ft Hobie Wave sailboats, which are ideal for beginner and experienced sailors, from the Westin and Marriott on Seven Mile Beach. These vessels are stable, easy to operate, and offer outstanding performance even in light winds.
Do you have previous sailing experience? With our quick and easy rental process, we’ll have you sailing in the Caribbean Sea in no time! Are you a beginner sailor? No problem — we offer the option of adding a sailing lesson to your rental for an additional cost (CI$10 at the time of writing). One of our expert instructors will show you the sailing basics you need to have a fun and memorable experience.
We rent sailboats in Grand Cayman by the hour. And as with most of our watersports, you can find rental options elsewhere on our island, thanks to the wider Red Sail family! Tortuga Divers offers sailboat rental in Grand Cayman’s East End while Rum Point Club provides sailboat rental in Rum Point.
Looking for the ultimate thrill? Jet skiing is one of the most exhilarating ways to enjoy Grand Cayman’s waters. And with Red Sail Sports, you have two tempting options to experience this adrenaline rush for yourself.
First, there’s our highly popular Grand Cayman Snorkelling and Jet Ski Tour. As you’ve probably already guessed, this combines a Waverunner rental with one of the most popular activities on our island — snorkelling. With its white sand beaches, clear, calm waters, and accessible shallow reefs, Grand Cayman is a snorkeler’s paradise. And on this Waverunner Snorkel Safari, you can zip across the water from one snorkel site to another!
These jet ski tours run from all Red Sail Sports locations on Seven Mile Beach. Our sister companies, Rum Point Club and Tortuga Divers, also provide similar experiences elsewhere on our island with their Rum Point Waverunner Snorkel Safari and Waverunner Tour in Grand Cayman’s East End.
Please note that small groups of up to five waverunners can participate in these safaris, so book your spot in advance (at least 24 hours’ notice) for a guided tour that lasts up to an hour and a half and includes two amazing snorkel stops.
Do you prefer the idea of an independent jet ski experience? We’ve got you covered! Our waverunner rentals in Grand Cayman are available from the Marriott, Seafire, Ritz, and Westin Hotels. And if you’re in Rum Point, don’t miss our Rum Point waverunner rentals! We rent high-quality Sea-doo Waverunners, and you can choose to jet around alone or double up with a loved one. Whichever option you choose, rental periods are for 30 minutes.
Please note that only adults aged 18 years and over can carry passengers on their Waverunner. Guests aged 16 and 17 years old can ride solo, but children aged between five and 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Whether you’re riding solo or with a partner, feel the excitement of skimming across the surface at speed, carving turns, and catching sea spray.
Our waverunners are well-maintained and easy to operate, with full safety briefings and life jackets provided. We set clear riding zones to ensure your safety while still offering plenty of space to have fun. Find out for yourself why jet skiing in Grand Cayman is always a crowd-pleaser!
If you’re keen to test your balance and coordination while having a fun-filled time out on the water, we think you’ll love wakeboarding or waterskiing in Grand Cayman! These classic watersports offer an unbeatable combination of adrenaline and skill, and there’s no better place to learn or sharpen your technique than on our calm Caribbean waters.
Snorkelling, Waterskiing, or Wakeboarding in Grand Cayman with Red Sail Sports is essentially a speedboat rental. We cap groups on this experience at a maximum of six people, making it ideal for families and small groups looking for a private, adrenaline-pumping adventure.
After heading out into the gorgeous turquoise waters off Seven Mile Beach in a 23’ Boston Whaler, you can decide whether you want to lock into waterskis or onto a wakeboard! Whichever you prefer, you’ll soon be trailing behind the speedboat, feeling the crests of the wake beneath your feet, and all while surrounded by the stunning backdrop of Seven Mile Beach. It’s a truly unforgettable experience!
Our instructors are on hand to guide you through the basics or help you refine your form. Whether you’re starting out or aiming to master new tricks, we’ll tailor the session to your ability. Tours depart directly from Seven Mile Beach, and all equipment is provided. You don’t need previous experience — just hold on tight and enjoy the ride.
As part of your rental experience, we can also take you to some of the best snorkel spots off Grand Cayman’s west coast, including otherwise hard-to-access gems like Boggy Sands Reef. We provide you with premium snorkel gear from leading manufacturers as part of your tour — all you need to do is dive in and explore the world-famous underwater wonders in the Cayman Islands!
Travelling with little ones? No problem! Most of our watersports are family-friendly, so we have activities that keep everyone entertained and safe. Paddleboarding and kayaking are great options for older children and teens, offering just enough challenge without being too intense. Younger kids can enjoy splashing in the shallows or watching and cheering on from the beach while parents take turns out on the water.
Our Banana Boat Ride in Grand Cayman is another hit with families. Children aged five and up can join in, so this is a thrill that your brood can enjoy together. All you have to do is hop on the banana and hold on tight as one of our speedboats pulls you across the dazzling sea off Seven Mile Beach for 15 exhilarating minutes. As an added bonus, our Grand Cayman banana boat ride is also a great way to cool off in the middle of the day!
And what would a trip to Grand Cayman be without joining one of our Stingray City tours? The Stingray City Sandbar is one of the most iconic destinations our island has to offer. After a short boat ride across the North Sound from Safehaven Marina, you will descend into the shallow water. Here, you can swim and snorkel with the wild southern stingrays that call this place home.
